Tom grew up and lives in Summit, NJ.  After college, Tom worked and traveled the world as a carpenter for 5 years including custom yacht construction in California and housing in Northern Territories of Australia.  Upon returning home, he undertook commercial construction in the NYC metropolitan area.  His NYC project management and field expertise included extensive custom construction projects for the cable industry.  Tom started independent contracting over 32 years ago (first project 1979) and founded Gryphon Development in 1984.  He has a passion for beautiful detailing and high-end custom residential construction.

Beth grew up in Maplewood, NJ.  After college, Beth spent 6 years in computer systems analysis and programming for insurance, investment and publishing corporations where she was highly skilled in major programming languages, operating hardware and software.  Since marrying Tom, she has over 19 years of experience in office administration for Gryphon Development with strong backgrounds in insurance, payroll, project billings and receivables.  In addition to garnering her MBA, Beth multi-tasks and has successfully raised 4 Summit-schooled children while managing the books and accounts for Gryphon Development.
